Sending your keepsake to you
Everything is posted from Debbie’s home in Nottinghamshire, and you choose how it travels when you check out.
- Royal Mail Tracked 48 — £6.50. Arrives in two to three working days, tracked all the way, with a photo taken on delivery. This is the option most people choose.
- Royal Mail Tracked 24 — £7.50. Aims to arrive the next working day, tracked in the same way. Worth it if a date is creeping up on you.
- Special Delivery by 1pm — £11.95. Guaranteed by 1pm the next working day, signed for, with the highest level of cover. For when it truly cannot be late.
- Collect from Debbie — free. If you are local to Huthwaite, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Mansfield, Kirkby or Alfreton, you are very welcome to collect and say hello. Choose this at checkout and Debbie will arrange a time with you.
Every keepsake is wrapped in tissue and boxed before it goes, so it arrives looking like the gift it is. Postage is charged once per order, however many pieces you order together.
Remember that making time comes first: your bear is sewn to order, and the delivery option you choose applies to the journey after Debbie has finished. She will always tell you when yours is ready, and send a photo for your approval before it is posted.
Sending your clothing to Debbie
After you order, you will receive a printable slip to pop in your parcel along with Debbie’s address. Send two or three adult garments, or six to eight baby or children’s garments.
Please use a tracked service and keep your proof of postage. Royal Mail Tracked 48 costs a few pounds and lets you see the parcel arrive safely. Proof of posting is free at any Post Office counter — do ask for it rather than using a postbox.
We want to be straightforward with you about one thing. Postal compensation is based on what an item would cost to replace, and the clothing you are sending cannot be replaced at any price. No level of cover changes that, so please send your parcel the safest way you can, and do keep back a garment if parting with everything feels like too much. Once your parcel reaches Debbie it is logged the day it arrives, stored safely, and never cut until the design is agreed with you.
Returns and changes
Because every keepsake is made to order and personalised for you, it is exempt from the usual fourteen-day change-of-mind right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. That is simply the nature of something made from your own clothing — it could never be sold to anyone else.
That said, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are untouched. If anything arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, Debbie will put it right — repaired, remade, or refunded. Just email info@debbiesbearhugs.co.uk within a reasonable time with a photo, and she will take care of it.
You will always see a photo of your finished keepsake before it is posted, so if something is not quite as you pictured it, that is the moment to say — and there is no awkwardness in saying so.
Ready-made pieces from the Ready to Post shelf, and anything not personalised, can be returned within fourteen days in their original condition for a refund.
