Clothing Care Promise

Posting a loved one’s clothing to someone you have never met takes enormous trust. Debbie never forgets that. This page sets out, plainly and completely, how your treasured clothing is looked after from the moment it arrives to the moment your bear — and any remaining fabric — comes home to you.

Logged on arrival

Every parcel is opened carefully, and each garment is logged against your order on the day it arrives. Nothing is ever left unrecorded, so your clothing can never be mislaid or mixed up with anyone else’s.

Stored safely

Your garments are kept together, clearly labelled with your order details, and stored safely until it is time to begin your bear. They stay exactly as you sent them until the design is agreed.

Never cut until the design is agreed

No scissors touch your fabric until you and Debbie have agreed the design. If there is ever a question — which garment to use where, or how best to keep a pocket, a button or a motif — Debbie will always ask you first.

A photo before dispatch

When your bear is finished, Debbie sends you a photo for approval. Your bear is only wrapped and posted once you have seen it and you are happy — no exceptions.

Your fabric, returned

Any fabric left over after your bear is made can be returned to you — just ask when you order, or when you reply to your approval photo, and it will come home wrapped alongside your bear. Nothing is discarded without asking you first.

Posting precious things

When you send your clothing, please use a tracked or signed-for postal service and keep your proof of postage. For pieces that could never be replaced, it is worth choosing a service with compensation or insurance cover for the journey — your confirmation email includes full postal instructions and a printable order slip to place inside the parcel.

If anything here leaves you with a question, please ask Debbie — she would far rather you asked than worried.
